Home Sweet Home on the Web

Home Sweet Home on the Web

When I first opened our doors for business four years ago, I didn’t quite realize how important a role the internet would play. The web is constantly changing and evolving. That’s both a good and bad thing. Change can be good. It can also be a pain in the butt because it means a steady [...]

Studio Update: Website Upgrades

We want your online experience with us to be second to none, and as fun as when we are photographing with you! So, for the past few weeks we’ve been implementing many back-end improvements to the Dean Oros Photo + Design website. Improvements include snazzier slideshows in all areas of the site, a cleaner and [...]

I have many to thank.

I have many to thank.

During a couple of photography consultations this past week, I was asked why I’m a photographer. This isn’t a question I’m often asked, and I was pleasantly surprised. Usually my clients and prospective clients don’t inquire about my motivation as part of the reason they should commission me. I do it for the love of [...]

We’ll be closed next week.

I’m off to Hawaii the week of January 18th for a working vacation. I’m looking forward to some sun and new experiences. I’ll open shop again on the 26th January and will reply to all inquiries on that day. Have a great week.

Happy Holidays!

Today is my last day in the studio before I take a break for Christmas. I’m looking forward to putting my feet up, spending time with family / friends and relaxing over the holiday season. I will be back in the studio on January 5th, and won’t have access to email or phone until then. [...]

New! Winter Series in the Image Archive

New! Winter Series in the Image Archive

Super-excited am I. Yes, I am. Winter is coming. As much as I grumble about terrible driving conditions, blustery winds, sleet and ice during our Toronto (Canada) winters, I find the coldest season of the year very beautiful. Especially in The Beaches neighbourhood, where yours truly currently resides. For the urbanites out there, there is [...]

Studio Update: New Integrated Blogsite

Welcome to the revamped blogsite. I’m super-excited about it! The blog is being integrated with the Image Archive, Commercial, and Client Access website into one seamless experience. As of today it’s only half way there, therefore the experience isn’t yet seamless. It may look weird for a few days with missing imagery etc, while we [...]

It’s Official: I’ve been Twitterized

For the last few weeks or so, I’ve been playing around with Twitter. Sometimes there will be things I’d like to bring you up to date on, but it’s not really something that I want to put in a blog post. So what I’ve done is added Twitter Updates to the sidebar in my blog. [...]

How was your first week of 2009?

Things seem to have transpired so quickly these past few months. We’re already about to wrap the first full week of the new year. Where did 2008 go? We all know the year ended with uncertainty due to an impending international economic crisis. More than ever before, people expect professionalism, quality and personal attention when [...]
