ABOUT DEAN
Hi, I’m Dean Oros. I create images for people. I’ve been behind a camera, both motion and stills, for a long time now. Wow – time flies! I still feel like a big kid, except I’m wrapped in the mindset of a commensurate professional.
I started my career in TV / film, working for some of the biggest film companies in Canada, and travelled the world for my work. This allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with amazing, creative people from a variety of cultures. Titles I’ve been involved with have sold to over 125 countries. Some are award-winners, including the National Film Board of Canada’s Best Documentary Award.
When I moved into professional photography I discovered I was fortunate. My film background lends itself perfectly to storytelling in still images.
As much as I love making pictures, I love people and nature more. I bring an excellent balance of documentary, narrative and artistry to my photography. My clients tell me this is reflected in the photography I produce for them, and that they’re happy. That makes me happy, too. You can read more in the Accolades section.
To learn more, let’s chat. I’d love to know what photography means to you, and perhaps we speak about how I can create superb images for you.
