I’ve been busy producing various wedding albums and books lately.
Personally, I really enjoy the design process and working to produce wedding-day heirlooms for my couples. Aside from the albums I produce in-house, I’ve also built relationships with a shortlist of printing and publishing companies that allows the studio to offer a line of select products. One of the latest is a gorgeous fine-art portfolio style presentation which I’ll show in an upcoming post.
But, back to design.
I design with a mix of classic and contemporary to best reflect a couple’s special day. No two designs are ever the same. Many photos end up as custom gallery-wrapped canvases or prints displayed in people’s homes. Not only are they a memory of a beautiful day, but (hopefully) are viewed as a piece of art.
I just finished designing Liz and Kelvin’s album. They opted for the Sequoia Flush Mount album. A flush mount album is a hard-backed page album with a seamless center that lays completely flat, no matter what page is displayed. When they saw the design they wrote me right away to tell me they love the design. That makes me feel great!
Included in this blog post are a few page-spreads from their album. If you’re a newlywed-to-be, this will provide you with an idea of what you can currently expect from the studio should you commission me to photograph and document your wedding day.
